US markets finished the week stronger, with the US PPI rising .2% in June, confirming that the Fed are likely to start cutting rates soon.
The S&P 500 rose 0.6% on Friday while the ASX 200 rose 0.9% on Friday to reach a fresh record high.
The US dollar continued to show weakness, partly due to BOJ intervention in the USD/JPY, pushing rates from near 162 to 158.
Chicago Fed President Goolsbee described the latest inflation data as “excellent,” also commenting that the figures provided the evidence he’s been waiting for to be confident the central bank is on a path to its 2% goal.
